This listing complies with ebay rules on the sale of Alcohol
We will permit sales of unopened collectible containers that still contain alcohol as long as each of the following conditions are met and stated verbatim in the listing: The value of the item is in the collectible container, not its contents.* The container has not been opened and any incidental contents are not intended for consumption. The item is not available at any retail outlet, and the container has a value that substantially exceeds the current retail price of the alcohol in the container. The seller will take all appropriate steps to ensure that the buyer is of lawful age in the buyer and seller's jurisdiction (generally 21 years of age). Buyers and sellers both ensure that the sale complies with all applicable laws and shipping regulations. *Bottles of wine are not permitted, as their value is generally based on the wine in the bottle rather than the bottle itself.
THE LOOK OF THIS BOTTLE WILL ENHANCE ANY COLLECTION
Decanters had their beginnings in the early naval sailing ships, and it would have been an exception to have found a captain's cabin without one - from the smallest to the largest vessel.
This decanter has been designed and produced by Pusser's Ltd., bottlers of British Navy Pusser's Rum. For more than 300 years, Britain's Royal Navy dispensed a daily issue of Pusser's Rum on board their ships. The U.S. Navy followed the same custom until its rum issue was abolished in 1914.
However, the Royal Navy's tradition continued through July 31st, 1970, on which day the last "tot" of Pusser's Rum was drunk officially on board Her Majesty's Ships. Until recently, Pusser's Rum was not available to the public. Now with the Admiralty's permission, this superb rum is offered commercially in glass bottles and in a Royal Navy ceramic ship's decanter.
The Royal Navy Sailors' Fund, a naval charity, benefits from the sale of the rum and the decanters. It was suggested that Pusser's should undertake a similar project for a U.S. naval charity, from whence the "John Paul Jones" decanter project had its beginning. Consequently, the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation receives a significant donation from the sale of each U.S. Navy & Marine Corps Decanter.
The next time you purchase a bottle of rum, we ask that you try our British Navy Pusser's Rum, sometimes alluded to as "Liquid History."It's our hope that you'll enjoy the beauty of this decanter, for many years to come.
THE PUSSER'S BRAND LABEL CAMEO
The flowers surrounding the Pusser's Rum brand label are the state flowers of the original founding colonies. Clockwise, from the lower left, these are: the Mayflower of Massachusetts and the Lilac of New Hampshire, the Black Eyed Susan of Maryland, the Cherokee Rose of Georgia, Delaware's Peach Blossom and Connecticut's Mountain Laurel. Continuing clockwise to the right of the eagle, the Violets of New Jersey, the Flowering Dogwood of North Carolina, the White Mountain Laurel of Pennsylvania, the Rhode Island Violet, the Jasmine of South Carolina, and the Flowering Dogwood of Virginia. The top of the cameo is adorned by a bald American eagle-chosen by the founding fathers to be the national symbol of the new union-standing for courage, power and freedom. The words Liberty Forever became one of the battle cries of the American Revolution.
THE U.S. NAVY COMMEMORATIVE CAMEO
This cameo symbolizes the modern U.S. Navy: the underwater forces as depicted by a nuclear submarine and a missile; the surface fleet represented by the Battleship; and the Navy Air Corps as shown by the F4 Phantom fighter, and the earlier World War II F6F Grumman Hellcat, the F4U Corsair fighter, and the SBD Douglas Dauntless dive bomber. The battle stars in the life rings are representative of the more important battles and campaigns fought by the U.S. Navy. Pearl Harbor, the naval base attacked by the Japanese on December 7th, 1941 brought America into the Second World War. On that day, the first of many Navy and Marine patriots were to give their lives in the service of their country
THE MARINE CORPS IWO JIMA CAMEO
On February 23, 1945, the American flag was raised by five U.S. Marines over Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima. This flag raising was immortalized in the photograph taken by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal. The reputation of the Marine Corps as a fighting force is unequalled. The illustrious history of the Corps has remained untarnished through some of the most difficult military operations ever undertaken. In terms of human life, the price has not always been cheap. Casualties at times have been high. The poppies of this cameo are a tribute to the many Marines who have given their lives in the service of their country.
THE KILLICK'S ANCHOR
ON THE STOPPER
The Killick's Anchor is the symbolic anchor of the seaman as designated by the British Admiralty and the one used on uniforms in the Royal Navy. It is a very old design for which he etymology is not known. Nevertheless, its unique design has long been associated with the Jack Tars (sailors) of the Royal Navy, and later with those of the U.S. Navy.
THE SEVEN SEAS

The Seven Seas-an old expression which really means all the waters which cover the face of the earth, and refers in fact to the seven oceans: the Arctic (Oceanus Arcticus), the Antarctic (Oceanus Antarcticus), the North Atlantic (Mare Septentrio Atlanticum), the South Atlantic (Oceanus Meridies Atlanticum), the Indian Ocean (Mare Indicum), the North Pacific (Mare Septentrio Pacificum), and the South Pacific (Mare Meridies Pacificum). These are inscribed in Latin around the base of the decanter.
This bottle is sealed and has the complete contents intact. The auction is for the unique bottle and labeling and NOT the sealed contents.
Thanks to the attractiveness of the bottle this is a product of the highest quality - especially as a present.
Therefore this decanter has become a highly sought after as a collectors bottle.
It is a 1 Liter Hand Casted Porcelain Decanter and would make a great addition to your collection.
